Adam, played by Andrew Scott, who works as a screenwriter, has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor Harry, played by Paul Mescal. After the encounter, Adam returns to his childhood home and discovers that his parents, who died many years ago, are still alive and are still the same age as the day they died.
One night, in his almost empty tower in modern-day London, Adam's life will be turned upside down. As a relationship develops with his neighbor, Adam becomes troubled by memories of the past and returns to his hometown and his childhood home where his parents, played by Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, appear to be alive, just as they were on the day of their death, 30 years earlier and Adam will have to discover what has happened.
