Airlift

'Airlift' is a Tamil dramatic thriller directed by filmmaker Raja Menon and starring Indian actor Akshay Kumar and actress Nimrat Kaur.

This movie is based on the true events relating the human evacuation of over 170.000 Indians who were stranded in Kuwait when the iraqi army attack them during an invasion, starting a war between Iraq and Kuwait. Ranjit Katyal, a powerful and wealthy businessman played by Akshay Kumar, will be the man who all the citizen will look up to for getting them back home safe and sound. The movie is focused on their own Odyssey to leave all their belongings behind to save their lives traveling a thousand kilometres across the border to get to Jordan. While they were there. the Indian government flew over 488 commercial flights to save all their citizens.
