A Time for Defiance

Directed by Antonio Mercero ('4th Floor' and 'Farmacia de guardia'), this drama about the Spanish Civil War is starring Gabino Diego, Luis Cuenca, Adriana Ozores, Leonor Watling and Héctor Colomé. Madrid is being besieged and bombarded by the incited to rebellion side. Explosives threaten the Prado Museum, one of the temples of the most cherished culture of the Spanish capital. That is why the authorities ordered the immediate evacuation of all artworks, fear the fire pumps and wrecking erased an essential part of the cultural heritage of Spain. In the evacuation, a self-portrait of Goya is misplaced and lost in the museum. Manuel, the doorman of El Prado, will find it and he decides to protect it at all costs, endangering not only his own life but also his family and friends.
