Change of director
Jeff Nichols ('Take Shelter', 'Mud') was originally set to direct but was pulled out of the project because of another Paramount sci-fi project.
New director and cast
It is the first feature film in the 'A Quiet Place' saga not to be directed by John Krasinski and starring Emily Blunt, who are replaced by Michael Sarnoski ('Pig') and Lupita Nyong'o.
