A Quiet Place: Day One

'A Quiet Place: Day 1' is the prequel to 'A Quiet Place', a horror and science fiction saga created by John Krasinski. The movie takes place before the events of the first film and reveals why our world was left in silence.

Michael Sarnoski ('Pig') directs the movie and also handles the screenplay, based on a story by him and Krasinski, and on characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck.

Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou star in this spin-off set in New York, showing us how one of the world's noisiest cities faces the arrival of fierce alien invaders that hunt their prey by sound.

Nyong'o plays Sam, a woman visiting New York when the alien invasion occurs. The city quickly plunges into chaos with the arrival of the monsters, and Sam reluctantly joins forces with a man named Eric (Quinn), with whom she must learn to work as a team to navigate the city and survive.

'A Quiet Place: Day 1' is a production of Platinum Dunes / Sunday Night and Paramount Pictures in association with Michael Bay. The film is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and John Krasinski, with Allyson Seeger and Vicki Dee Rock as executive producers.
