A Matter of Life and Death

Park Circus will release the restoration of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburguer classic of 1946 'A matter of life and death'.

Peter Carter (David Niven) is a British Air Force pilot who is coming back home to England from a bombing mission in Second World War where his plane has been badly damaged. Before he jumps into the ocean he contacts with June, an american girl who receives his SOS message. Finally Peter survives but a divine messenger arrives and tells Peter he has to appeal to a celestial court after evading death. When he meets June they fall in love with each other, but not everything is as easy as it seems. The film culminates in a heavenly trial where the destiny of Peter live is a mystery.
