A Different Man

Edward (Sebastian Stan) is an insecure man due to his illness. The protagonist of 'A Different Man' suffers from neurofibromatosis, a condition that deteriorates his face. His greatest dream is to participate in the play of his neighbor, Ingrid (Renate Reinsve), but his shyness prevents him from working with her. Tired of his situation, Edward undergoes a risky operation to fix his face and heal his illness.

Fortunately for him, it works, allowing him to achieve the success and confidence he believed he needed over the years. However, things take a turn when Oswald (Adam Pearson), a man who also suffers from neurofibromatosis, is chosen as the lead for Ingrid's play. Both will begin to compete for her attention, and Edward will realize that, despite suffering from the same condition he once did, Oswald is indeed capable of integrating into society and having the prestige he used to desired.

'A Different Man' is a comedy directed and written by filmmaker Aaron Schimberg, known for titles like 'Chained for Life.' The film is among the potential nominees for the 2025 Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Vertigo Films brings the movie to Spanish cinemas, setting its release date for January 31.
