Plot
How would you give visibility to those who seem to be invisible? Removing them. That's how 'A Day Without a Mexican' attempts to show the value and importance of Mexican immigrant workers in the American society, specially on the state of California. This comedy with a social message tells of the story of how all the LatinAmerican population form California vanishes, leaving all their everyday work behind, as the rich and settled white people realize just how important they were.
'A Day Without a Mexican' is filmmaker Sergio Arau's first feature film, as he directs and pens the script along Yareli Arizmendi and Sergio Guerrero. The film stars Caroline Aaron ('Alice'), Tony Abatemarco ('Sleeping with his enemy') and Melinda Allen.
