Thirty years ago, Tocho (Hovik Keuchkerian) was an adventurer who used to cross the Sahara Desert together with his two best friends. That was by far the best period in his life, but he has been struggling ever since. Neither has he heard anything from his two fellow adventurers: Joseba (Enrique San Francisco) ended up falling in love with an African woman and stayed in Mali, and Jean Pierre (Jean Reno) returned to Bordeaux to start working at the family vineyard. One day, Tocho receives a letter that will mark a radical change in his life. In the letter, Joseba's wife tells him that her husband is suffering a terminal cancer and his last wish is to get together with his old friends again. Tocho is prepared to make his friends wish become a reality.
