It consisted of a hundred-day retreat in a cabin in complete solitude, without communication with the outside, and in a situation of self-sufficiency, something he faced for the first time in his life.
Resources
In order to recreate the conditions in which our ancestors lived, Díaz had a certain number of resources: a. Six hens and a rooster. b. A little vegetable garden. c. A stream close to the cabin. d. A few hives where he could get honey. e. A horse to transport the filming equipment. f. Nature's pharmacy to relieve illnesses. g. A sac of legumes and various cans.
Dates
The experience was filmed from the 12th of September to the 19th of December, 2015. As the same Díaz says, he chose this date because it includes many changes in the Nature: from the last days of summer to the snowfalls of December, stepping through the autumn.
No hunting
It's important to highlight that there wasn't any type of hunting.
Asturies' mystery
The enigma that Diaz found in the high lands of the Asturian mountain has been materialized in the photographs and texts that make up the three volumes dedicated to Networks. The last of them, Entradas al paraíso, just saw the light and closes the trilogy, composed of two previous books: Mi cabaña, mi mundo y Sentido: Asturias a flor de piel.
