The Goya Awards 2016 mark the 30th anniversary of the awards given by the Spanish Movie Academy to the best films made in Spain.
Dani Rovira will be again the host of the ceremony, that will take place in Madrid on Saturday, February 6th. On December 14th, Emma Suárez and Asier Etxeandia were chosen to read the nominees list for the 30th Goya Awards.
'La novia', directed by Paula Ortiz, was the film with the highest number of nominations, becoming candidate of 12 Goyas. It is followed by 'Nadie quiere la noche' by Isabel Coixet, with 9 nominations. The five movies nominated for best film are 'A cambio de nada', 'La novia', 'Nadie quiere la noche', 'Truman' and 'Un día perfecto'.
Spanish movies aren't the only ones to get nominated for a Goya Award. There is also an award for best Latin American film and other for best European film.
