The 73rd Golden Globes edition takes place on January the 10th, Sunday, as always in Los Angeles Beverly Hilton Hotel. The show is broadcasted by NBC in the USA and hosted by british comic Ricky Gervais for the fourth time in the prize history.
The nominations were announced a month earlier, on December the 10th 2015, in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association headquarters. The nominations were announced by four known actors: Angela Bassett, America Ferrera, Chloë Grace Moretz and Dennis Quaid.
The awards have categories both for motion pictures and television shows, and they are divided by two big genres: drama and comedy or musical. The motion picture with more nominations is 'Carol', that could win five awards, Best Motion Picture among them, followed by 'The Revenant', 'Steve Jobs' and 'The Big Short', being this one the most nominated comedy.
In TV, 'Mr. Robot' and 'Outlander' are the drama series with more nominations, three, 'Transparent' with two nominations are the most potential-award comedy. 'Fargo' is the limited series with more options, three nominations.
