On Thursday 18th February, the Royal Albert Hall will host the 71st edition of the British Academy Film Awards, otherwise known as the BAFTA's.

Joanna Lumley is set to host the evening. The actress will be taking over from Stephen Fry who has decided to step down after 12 years in the role. Natalie Dormer and Letitia Wright announced the BAFTA nominations on Tuesday 9th January.

'The Shape of the Water' has taken the lead with 12 nominations, and is closely followed by 'Darkest Hour' and 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' in joint second place with 9 nominations. In joint third place as 'Blade Runner 2049' and 'Dunkirk' which have each been nominated 8 times.
